Call for Abstracts
The organising committee of the Evidence-Based Perioperative Medicine (Asia) (EPBOM-ASIA 2022) invites you to submit abstracts of original and most up-to-date research related to perioperative medicine.
Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the EBPOM-ASIA 2022 website. Before you can submit your abstract, you have to create an account. The final extension closing date for all abstracts to be submitted will be Friday, 15 October 2022, at 6:00 p.m. SGT. Abstracts received after this date will not be accepted.
The Organising Committee invites participants to submit abstracts of original scientific work that has not been presented before for oral and/or poster presentations.

A.GENERAL RULES
1. Presentation by author
- Poster Presentations
There will be a dedicated area for posters and ample breaks during the programme for interaction with poster presenters.
2. Abstract Receipt Confirmation
- Upon successful submission, authors will receive an automated acknowledgement via email.
- Lack of acknowledgement will indicate that the abstract was not received. Please contact us if an acknowledgement does not follow the abstract you submitted.
- Abstracts must be received by:
- Closing date: Saturday,15 October 2022, 6:00 p.m. SGT
- Abstracts received after this date will not be accepted.
3. Notification of Acceptance
- The Presenting Author of each abstract accepted will be notified by email. There will be two notification dates depending on when the abstract is submitted.
- Notification date: Monday, 31 October 2022.
- It may also be found on the “Abstract Page” of the Conference website. Simply log in using your username and password to view your abstract.
4. Publication
- Upon acceptance of your abstract, the presenting author must register for the conference to present at the Oral Session or Poster Presentation.
- The abstract will only be published on the Congress Website if the presenting author is registered and full payment is received by Monday, 14 November 2022.
- Abstracts will be published as submitted.
B. HOW TO SEND ABSTRACTS
- Abstracts can only be submitted via the website. Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted.

C. GENERAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- All abstracts must be submitted electronically through the EBPOM-ASIA 2022 website.
- Abstracts must be in English only.
- Describe the objectives and results of the research in the abstract so that the Scientific Committee of EBPOM-ASIA 2022 can evaluate the abstract's quality, originality, and completeness.
- Please note that your submission must be completed before the submission deadline to be considered for the Conference.
- After submitting the abstract and before the closing date, you may continue to edit the abstract. No editing of the submitted abstract will be allowed after the respective closing dates.
- Abstracts will be judged solely based on the data submitted in the abstract.
- Total word count of not more than 300 words for each abstract
- Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the EBPOM-ASIA 2022 website
- List no more than eight individual authors/co-authors for each abstract
- The name of the institution(s) to which the work should be attributed; the department in which the authors/co-authors are working, the city and the country; and the contact information, i.e., the email address of the first author/presenter as well as all the co-authors.

Please indicate your sub-theme upon submission of the abstract. The abstract should be 300 words or less (excluding title, authors’ names and institution details) and submitted in a structured format with complete sentences.
E. ABSTRACT CONTENT
Please make the abstract as informative as possible, and support your conclusions with data. Abstracts should be structured to include the following four sections:
- Objective: indicates the purpose of the study
- Method: describe pertinent experimental procedures
- Results: summarise the results of the research
- Conclusions: states the main conclusions
Note:
Please use standard abbreviations and generic drug names, and place unusual abbreviations or acronyms in parentheses after first use.
