Abstract Terms and Conditions

1. Errors
   • By submitting an abstract to the Evidence-Based Perioperative Medicine - Asia Congress 2022 (EBPOM-ASIA 2022), the abstract submitter hereby agrees to the following terms and conditions:

EBPOM-Asia Organisers, and its Organising Secretariat, Ace:Daytons Direct (International) Pte Ltd, cannot be held responsible for any typing, spelling, or language errors in the submitted abstract(s).

2. Abstract topic
   • The Scientific/Abstract Committee may decide to allocate the submitted abstract to a different topic than the topic for which it was submitted.

3. Abstract author consent
   • By submitting an abstract, authors agree that they have received consent from their co-authors to do so.

4. Abstract author attendance and Publication of the Abstract
   • Upon acceptance of your abstract, the presenting author must register (pay the relevant registration fee) and attend the Congress to present at the Oral Presentation or the Poster Presentation.
   • The abstract will only be published on the Congress website if the presenting author is registered, and full payment will be received by Tuesday, 15 November 2022, 6:00 pm SGT.
   • No changes to accepted abstracts will be allowed.
5. Final decision on abstracts
   • An abstract review committee will review the abstracts, with the final decision being made by the committee. Abstract evaluation will be merit based.
   • The Scientific / Abstract Committee's decision on the abstract is final, and no further correspondence on the status of the abstract will be entertained.
6. Copyright
   • The authors grant the EBPOM-ASIA 2022 Organiser, the right to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and store the abstract (submitted text only), together with author names and biographies where supplied in different formats, including print, electronic and digital forms (including on the EBPOM-ASIA 2022 website).
   • The abstract author agrees and understands that EBPOM-Asia Organisers takes no responsibility for registering any copyright on behalf of the abstract author/s. Authors hereby accept and confirm that their abstract contains no text for reference that is either directly or indirectly defamatory or is otherwise unlawful, invades individual privacy, or infringes on any proprietary right or statutory copyright.
   • By submitting an abstract to EBPOM-ASIA 2022, authors affirm that their abstract is their original work, or they have obtained permission at their own expense from the copyright holder (of all data and/or text) for publication. The authors, upon request, will submit signed documentation showing permission for use to EBPOM-Asia Organisers.
   • Authors understand that the information contained in their submitted abstract may be shared with third-party processors such as graphic designers and printing services for the express purpose of printing or uploading the congress abstract book according to the license as stated above.
7. Commercial Interest
   • The author(s) must declare to the EBPOM-ASIA 2022 Scientific /Abstract Committee if they have any commercial interests or associations that might conflict with their submission. If accepted for presentation, the commercial interest or association must be declared on the title slide (for oral presentations) or at the bottom of the poster (for poster presentations). All presentations should include funding and other acknowledgements where applicable.

8. Photography and Videography
   • The author(s) give EBPOM-Asia Organisers and its Organising Secretariat permission to take photographs and videos of their presentation at the Congress, which may be used on the EBPOM-ASIA 2022 website and other EBPOM-ASIA 2022 social media.

9. Withdrawal policy
   • If the abstract presenter wishes to withdraw their abstract, they must do by Tuesday, 15 November 2022, After this date, the EBPOM-ASIA 2022 Organising Secretariat cannot guarantee that the abstract will be removed from the printed/physical Congress Abstract Book (if applicable).

10. Communications
    • All communications regarding this abstract will be directed to the abstract submitter. It is the responsibility of the abstract submitter to inform the co-authors of the abstract acceptance status.

11. Indemnification
    • Authors agree to indemnify and hold harmless EBPOM-Asia Organisers, its agents, and representatives should the material presented or provided for publication be determined to defame, libel, or slander an individual or organisation, violate the confidentiality of any individual or organisation, or infringe on another's copyright.

12. Presenter to take care of all charges
    • Acceptance of an abstract does not imply the provision of travel, accommodation, or registration for the Congress, any other cost associated with preparation or presentation of the abstract, or any cost associated with attendance at the congress.
